Camp Catering

Coast 2 Coast provide meal service for the three main meals of the day, breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as providing tea and coffee making facilities and snacks available any time. Lunch is available as a dine-in or take away option (generally workers will take a packed crib lunch with them when they get their breakfast).

Coast 2 Coast meals are generally a self-service buffet style, prepared with flair and with health in mind.

This service is made available during the hours of Breakfast Service and midday and is also Self Service. Or if arranged it may be served between the hours of 12.00-12.30 daily. A freshly prepared Daily Buffet is presented with flare and consideration to the health conscience and the great tasting food lovers consisting of a selection of the following items:

Coast 2 Coast provides a cooked buffet-style dinner every night of the week, covering a variety of foods and styles to keep it interesting. Dinner is provided with a "help yourself" approach so you are free to take as much or as little as you like. Dinner includes a soup of the day, a main "dry dish", a main "wet dish", a healthy alternative "third course", and dessert.

Coast 2 Coast Dinner Menu is headed by what we define as a Dry-Dish, which is a Grill, Roast Baked or a Deep Fried Dish; this meal is the No 1 "Main Stay" of the day.

Main course #2 is a wet dish consisting of a Casserole, Stew, Braise, Goulash, Chow-Mien, Pasta Sauce etc. Ingredients may be Veal, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb, Burger or Pie etc

The Third Main Course is usually a health conscious alternate based on Pasta, Rice or Gourmet Vegetable, Flan or Quiche, Low in salt and fat free, a valuable addition to a balanced menu.

All main dishes are served with a potato dish, a fresh vegetable dish, a frozen vegetable dish, sauces (e.g. gravy or tartare), fresh bread, and desserts prepared daily for each service.

Standardised Recipes

Coast 2 Coast Camp Services have catalogued and issued over 750 standardised recipes to our chefs. C2C menu items are balanced with the healthy choice at heart - they are low in salt and fat. Coast 2 Coasts dishes used on our exclusive menus are from our own Remote Site Catering Manual which details:

Camp Management Services

Coast 2 Coast has over 30 years experience managing remote work camps in distant locations throughout Australia. The flexible and tailored service generally includes preparing accommodation/residences and allocating residents to their accommodation and facilities, managing the camp's cleanliness, managing and responding to resident complaints, facility health and safety, maintenance and upkeep of the camp or village, and providing janitorial and laundry service to the entire facility. After a hard day's work, your workers should expect to be looked after by Coast 2 Coast's hospitable and friendly team. Coast 2 Coast's camp management goes hand in hand with their catering services.

To go into greater detail, Coast 2 Coast are ready to include the following:

  • Manage the camp office front desk and receiving services for all new camp occupants
  • Manage and supervise the wet mess or dry canteen and services when required
  • Provide and issue written emergency camp evacuation procedures on arrival
  • Provide and issue written camp rules and regulations to all new residents on arrival
  • Register all new occupants with an Accommodation and Property Issue Card
  • Allocate accommodation rooms and the issue of door keys
  • Purchase and provide all catering materials for the day to day running of the camp
  • Supply and monitor all catering of food stuffs
  • Liaise with client's representative on a daily basis highlighting camp information
  • Maintain and update daily the computerised man-day and accommodation register
  • Supervise and enforce the clients' dress requirements for messing etc.
  • Provide and supervise the cleaning of the camp building faculties
  • Provide catering service to include Preparation, Cooking, Presentation and the serving of meals.
  • Manage the provision and monitor a well balanced cycle menu.
  • Manage the provision of all salads, condiments, and consumables of the crib lunch service
  • Manage, monitor and supply crockery, cutlery & all cooking utensils necessary for a camp
  • Supply and monitor all consumables and non-consumables adequately
  • Manage, supply and monitoring of chemicals, including their appropriate storage and their current MSDS.
  • Provide, manage and supervise the cleaning and control the operations facilities.
  • Checks and reports on recreational equipment including TVs.
  • Manage, monitor and control all camp cleaning services.
  • Manage and report all camp maintenance to the maintenance supervisor daily as required.

Camp Laundry Service

Due to camp site remoteness, camp size and other factors Coast 2 Coast recommends camp Linen/Manchester is to be washed and laundered on site. Our laundry service roster system will rotate the cleaning of linen on a day by day basis resulting with quality laundry service. If however your requirements are for laundry service off-site, Coast 2 Coast Camp Services are only to happy accommodate and cost out laundry and linen expenses including:

  • Off site laundry service costs
  • Transport of laundry items / to and from site
  • The purchase of Three (3) full sets of linen, allowing for one set of linen to be placed on the camp bedding, one set to be on shelves for the daily roster change, and a third at the laundry for cleaning.

Camp occupants are provided with a stringed or striped laundry bag located in their allotted room to place their soiled cloths in. This laundry bag is collected first thing in the mornings from their room on their allotted washing day. The personal clothes inside the laundry bag are then laundered washed and dried and returned to their room the very same day. A copy of the Laundry Roster detailing their washing day is located on the inside of their door.

Camp Janitorial Services

Coast 2 Coast provide janitorial services to all areas of the camp including common areas, work areas (such as offices, kitchen, laundry, chemical storage), storage areas, and camp occupants' rooms. Room service includes:

  • Sweeping, disinfecting, and mopping floors
  • Daily cleaning of ensuites
  • Daily emptying of rubbish bins
  • Full linen changes
  • Changing towels
  • Making beds
  • Provision of soap

Coast 2 Coast cleaning services also include a detailed cleaning preparing the entire camp/village site for occupation and work after construction or delivery of the camp.
